Do you have a dog that's afraid of thunder?  How about fireworks?  If so, you've got a pretty common issue going on with your pup.  Most dogs & cats dislike loud noises.  They have sensitive ears, and they aren't used to such loud noises.  Sometimes, like children, being held & cuddled can help calm their fears.  That's why the invention of the Thundershirt is so amazing.  I just heard about it for the first time this weekend, and I love the idea.  The shirt is snug, and it prevents a sense of comfort for your pet in times of a bad storm, or during loud fireworks.

My mother in law had heard about them, so over the 4th of July weekend, she tried one out on her dog.  It worked really well for him, and he is very intolerant of fireworks & storms.  She highly recommended them, so I thought I would share them with my clients & friends.

The official website has a lot more information about them.  They are guaranteed, so I think it's worth checking out!  Let me know if it works for your dog!

What Breed of Dog Are you?!

Good afternoon everyone!  I hope you enjoyed your 4th of July!  I found this fun quiz yesterday and couldn't help but take it to see what kind of dog I am!  I got a labrador retriever ~ see what results you get!  It's quick, and it's done by Dogster.com!

Our Fetch Corporate facebook page posted this story yesterday, and I just thought it was amazing.  As a cat lover & cat owner myself, I was so proud of this brave little guy!  This kitty was born with backward legs.  They didn't think he would live, but he has persevered!  He had a life changing surgery, and now can act just like every other cat!  Other cat lovers must read this story ~ it's heartwarming.  ♥

Lost pets are always a devastating thing for a family to deal with.  We are always open to helping local families find their missing pets.  We have been on the lookout the last few months for Bella, a black lab, who escaped from her harness leaving the vet's office.  Her family misses her terribly!  She has been sighted often in the Bethel Park area, so Bethel Park friends, please report sightings!  Here is Bella's photo, and a link to her "Bring Bella Home" facebook page.  You can find more information there on what to do if you see her!  Thank you!

I know that a dog is known as a man's best friend - but a cat's best friend too?  I read this story yesterday about a bulldog who adopted a litter of kittens who lost their mommy.  This is the sweetest story, animals are so amazing!

Happy "Take Your Dog to Work Day!" Did you take your pooch to work with you today?  I hope you have a pet friendly office!  I didn't know this day existed until recently.  I always thought there was just a "Take Your Daughter to Work Day."  I think even that got changed to "child".  At least I know there isn't an official take your cat to work day - as I'm pretty sure all cats would agree that they don't want to go to work.  At least I know mine would rather be home!

I'm lucky that my office is at home though, so I get to be with my pets while I do my work!  And then I get to go check in on other people's pets too.  =-) I hope you enjoyed your day at work, and I hope you got to bring your dog with you!
