I know that a dog is known as a man's best friend - but a cat's best friend too?  I read this story yesterday about a bulldog who adopted a litter of kittens who lost their mommy.  This is the sweetest story, animals are so amazing!

Happy "Take Your Dog to Work Day!" Did you take your pooch to work with you today?  I hope you have a pet friendly office!  I didn't know this day existed until recently.  I always thought there was just a "Take Your Daughter to Work Day."  I think even that got changed to "child".  At least I know there isn't an official take your cat to work day - as I'm pretty sure all cats would agree that they don't want to go to work.  At least I know mine would rather be home!

I'm lucky that my office is at home though, so I get to be with my pets while I do my work!  And then I get to go check in on other people's pets too.  =-) I hope you enjoyed your day at work, and I hope you got to bring your dog with you!

One of our wonderful Fetch sitters just sent me this, and I have never seen anything like it.  I've seen poodles turned pink, but I've never seen a dog made to look like a panda or a tiger.

Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty ♥

Anyone else love singing to their pets?  I think sometimes my cats would rather I don't sing. =-)  But of course I still do it anyways.  The first time I heard "Soft Kitty" on Big Bang Theory I was totally obsessed with it.  I've been singing it to my cats ever since!  I was so excited when I saw this picture - had to share with everyone!  I saw it on Pinterest, and then again on icanhascheezburger.com!

Man's Best Friend!

You hear the saying "man's best friend", and you automatically think of dogs.  This is for good reason!  I personally think of dogs and cats, because my cats are my best friends too!  After reading this story in the news this week, I just kept thinking about how this dog truly is his owners best friend.  It's such an amazing story, it really shows how pets love their owners, and vice versa!

June is National Adopt-A-Pet Month!

June is National Pet Adoption month!  There's no better time to adopt a new friend for your family.  There's plenty of shelters out there with lots of dogs, cats, rabbits and more, looking for forever homes.  I have been a shelter volunteer for many years, and nothing makes me happier than seeing a pet excited to have a new owner, and vice versa. 

During the month of June, Animal Friends in Pittsburgh is waiving their $75 cat adoption fee, so this is the perfect time to come check out their cat area.  I have two cats that I adopted, and it was the best decision I've ever made.  They are my best fluffy little friends. ♥
